36 years turning hides into trust
A man, a dream, and a rented room

A man, a dream, and a rented room

In a small town in Ecuador, Patricio Díaz started a tannery with nothing but his hands and a dream. A chemist by trade, he had an extraordinary gift for leather. Over three decades he built Tenería Díaz into one of the largest tanneries in the country, with dozens of people working every hide with his expertise.

Full-grain leather from Andean cattle

Full-grain leather from Andean cattle

We work full grain: the complete surface of the hide, with all its fiber structure intact. No sanding, no correcting, no plastic coatings. Our leather comes from Andean cattle raised in a cold, high-altitude climate, with fewer parasites and fewer scars: a dense grain that ages with elegance.

A tradition tanned by hand

A tradition tanned by hand

In towns like Cotacachi, families have kept ancestral tanning traditions alive for over a century. We work within that tradition: selecting the finest hides and processing them with decades of craft, batch by batch.

Real leather. Real story. Real value.

Real leather. Real story. Real value.

Our leather has nothing to hide: what you see is what you get. It ages beautifully, develops a patina with character, and won't peel or crack. That is what we deliver in every shipment to those who build with real leather.
